This is one of the reasons that we got into keeping isopods! Grows large, and has amazing patterns. Porcellio expansus is also one of the more sensitive species--especially to moisture--and we only half-cover the container to ensure lots of ventilation. With that said, cultures of this species cannot be allowed to dry completely; one corner of the enclosure is kept perpetually damp with sphagnum moss. Not a picky eater, seems to like vegetables and protein equally. We supplement the diet with Spirulina fish flakes.
